Below we have outlined some of the major changes in this build.

Japanese IME Improvements

With this build Microsoft has made some improvements to the Japanese IME:

  • Prediction Candidate window key navigationWe fixed an issue where the focus inside prediction candidate window wouldn’t move when using the Up Arrow key.
  • Key customizationWe’ve improved the discoverability of key assignment settings. Also, based on feedback, we’ve updated the default assigned value of Ctrl + Space to be “None”. Ctrl + Space can still be used for toggling IME-on/off by changing the value through its setting.

Snip & Sketch improvements

Snip & Sketch is also getting some improvements in this build.

This includes a single window mode that will open new snips in the same window rather than opening up a ton of Snip windows.  This feature can be disabled using the Multiple windows options.

Snippers can now Zoom into a screenshot if they are too small for you to annotate on. You can use the CTRL+Plus, CTRL+Minus and Ctrl+Mouse wheel to zoome in and out of a picture.

Finally, Microsoft will promote the WIN+Shift+S keyboard combination to create a new snip from within the Snip & Sketch canvas space.

Ths features are being rolled out individually over time, so you may see one feature, but not another. These features will start rolling out in version 10.1907.2064.0.
